This coming Valentine’s Day may be a little bit different than what you’re used to in the previous years. Because of safety measures in place such as social distancing and travel restrictions, some of us may not be able to spend this special day with our friends and family. Celebrations might be also limited to the confines of our home.
But despite the constraints, there are still several ways to make your loved ones feel special this February 14th whether they are close to you or far away. You might even consider sending them one of these custom gift boxes to show them your love and appreciation during this season of love.
House of Heels Atlanta
House of Heels Atlanta is an online women's shoe store catering to shoe lovers and style enthusiasts out there. Offering a wide range of heels, sandals, boots, mules, and trendy handbags, the brand’s main goal is to satisfy the needs of their customers for any occasion whether it’s a red-carpet event, date night, or to complete the perfect OOTD.
According to an interview given by House of Heels Atlanta CEO MiAsia Symone to Sheen Magazine, finding the right packaging was the biggest challenge in the beginning.
“You have to make sure you order the right dimensions, color, style, etc. My issue was finding a price I was comfortable paying in regard to ordering them.”
“I really love my custom shipping boxes and my customers are very satisfied with my packaging as well. Honestly, for my design, I just wanted a clean, but luxurious look. I figured the colors black, white, silver, and gold were the best way to make that happen,” she added.

Original Balls of Steel
There’s more to Original Balls of Steel than just an entertaining name. Neither are they just another company that makes alcohol accessories. The entire concept of the product and company was inspired by one of the co-founder’s experience with being misdiagnosed with cancer. This sparked a larger idea: creating a product that can help open conversations about testicular cancer while chilling whiskey without ruining the flavor.
“Original Balls of Steel was founded with the purpose of chilling fine spirits without dilution, and supporting men's health, specifically testicular cancer. 15% of our sales are donated to support testicular cancer research. The name of our product is kind of funny, which we did so that we can break down the initial barrier men have in talking about testicular cancer: if they can laugh about it first they're more inclined to speak openly about it,” says Kevin Shackett, Owner of Original Balls of Steel.
“The inspiration for this box was to make it look like a wood box with my logo on one side and my brand superhero that I had commissioned—BOS Man—on the other side. The story goes that BOS Man lives in an arctic lair and harnesses the cooling power of the arctic into our Balls of Steel products,” Kevin added.

Sauce Boss is a subscription box that is perfect for condiment lovers. For their subscribers, the company finds fantastic, unique condiments from small businesses all around the U.S. One thing that makes Sauce Boss really unique is that they give customers a short survey to take before they sign up. This is to make it easier to match them with the perfect types of sauce.
“We wanted our design to personify our customers. The bright orange color represents the joy and adventurous attitude of our customers. We kept the rest of the design fairly simple to let this beautiful, bright orange shine through. We used a crown as the main emblem for our logo because when you sign up with Sauce Boss, you get to call the shots. We added the repeating pattern on the side because it adds a lot more excitement to the design, while keeping it clean and simple,” said Owen Rahm of Sauce Boss.
